This second Organiser hopefully addresses the simplicity of the gospel. It contains a list of essential points and related references. Please work through the list at your own pace.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 ... Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

 
TOPIC
The Good News concerns the Kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ.
  • Acts 8
God is the creator and sustainer of all life.

God created man and placed him in the garden of Eden.
  • Genesis 2
Man disobeyed the commandment of God, and partook of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

The consequence of this disobedience was that man was cursed with mortality.

Hope existed only in God's provision, as shown by the slaying of a lamb to provide a covering for Adam and Eve's nakedness.

God's promise to Abraham was that through a descendant of his, all the world would be blessed.

The Son of God now sits at God's right hand, as a High Priest and mediator between man and God.

Upon Jesus' return, all those who have 'put on Christ' will be raised from the dead - from the dust of the earth in which they sleep.

Christ will reign from the appointed city - Jerusalem (Mount Zion).

After reigning for a thousand years, Christ himself will be subject to God and to His rule.
